Were you covering up the front sight? Mismatched? And you should swap out the stock for something more historical.

Other than that, pretty sweet.

And I agree, the RPK is nice! :)
 
Beautiful. I just finished my conversion, a lot more basic than yours...but proud nonetheless.

That Dinzag bullet guide was so easy to install. I don't understand how people have a problem with the taps snapping off. Just 1/8 turn, then back off to clean out the threads. No biggie.
 
Buck, the front sight block is from blackthorn so the coating doesnt match, but I always pull the sling around the post to keep it from catching things.. I wanted a bulgy folder, but its a lot of machine work to adapt it to fit so I cut off the rear tang and put the ACE on it.

Chris, the Dinzag bullet guide is great like you say! The tap wasn't even close to breaking, but I must say I did treat it like it was made of glass..

Tantal and I don't get along well. I think a converted Saiga, a Yugo M72, and maybe a VEPR (God willing...) would hold me over for a while.
