My dad has my first gun still.a chipmunk .22 rifle.he bought it for me new in the early 80`s.man I shot lots of lizards and squirrels with that little gun.

Yup, Jericho 945, my younger brother has the first gun I fired, a Star .380, which the model escapes me now.

Nope, a crappy 22 revolver is long gone ... however I do have the first gun I ever shot! It was my Dads Berretta M-70 in .32 Colt acp, it looks like a mid-sized 92F

Yes 1st shotgun from my Grandad a Western Field break open .410...custom youth model. Then later he had kept the buttstock piece that he cut off for the "youth" model, and glued it all back together. And my 1st rifle a 10/22 from my dad.

Yup,I got my first gun a Remington 514 single shot for a 16th birthday present 56 years ago.My kids and grandkids all learned to shoot with that rifle.I still take it to the range a couple times a year for fun. hdbiker

Like many others - a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun. An original that was a hand-me-down at age 10 and I still have it. :)

My first firearm was the same as kimberkid’s dad’s Beretta that I bought in 1966. I sold it that same year to trade up to a German Walther PPK and I still have that one. I wish that I had kept the Beretta; it was well made and reliable… oh well. :(

No and I don't feel bad about selling it either. It was an Astra Model 600, that I bought off the friend of a friend. I didn't know all that much about semi-autos at the time but if I did I wouldn't have made a straight blowback 9mm. my first handgun purchase.

Yep. Late 1800's J Stevens Favorite Model 17. I'm 39 and my Dad got it for me when I was 16. My Mom wouldn't allow me to have any guns and this was supposed to be just to look at. The chamber has an indentation and if you shoot it, the case expands into the indentation and you have to ram it out with a rod. So it does shoot just not very useful. Still neat though. My Dad and I did shoot some opossums with it on ocassion.

Yes. No-hole 642. I've carried it more than any other firearm save perhaps the M9 I carried while I was in uniform.

Heck yeah I do, and won't part with it as long as I'm breathing. I was given a Marlin 881 bolt action .22 24 years ago, when I was 12. I'm no crack shot, but have put so many rounds through that rifle, it almost seems hard to miss at times. Its spent hours in various prairie dog towns, and has been through many a shelterbelt in pursuit of cottontails. I couldn't begin to estimate the number of rounds thru it, but it far exceeds the number I've put thru any other firearm. There are too many fond memories attacjhed to it for me to ever even ponder getting rid of it, and besides, it was a gift from mom and dad, and that alone is enough of a reason to hold on to it IMO. For that matter, I still possess MY FATHER'S first gun as well, a Western Field .410 pump that makes sharptail hunting a bit of a challenge when the 12 gauge is dropping them with boring regularity.

Sure do. Ruger Standard 22LR.

I also have both my dad's first gun (1906 Hamilton model 27) and my father-in-law's first gun (1909 L.C. Smith 12 Ga.)

And when I'm gone, they'll belong to my son.

Yes, I received it on Christmas morning, 1956. It is a Western Auto Revelation Model 101. Both parents are gone now, so it's a reminder of less stressful times.:)

Yes! A Marlin 89C .22 I bought from a sailor who was going overseas. Paid $10 for it in 1958!!!!
Still shoot it on occasion. Very accurate .22!!:D

Yes. Old Browning A-5 16 Ga. Shotgun my father gave me. Also have the first gun I bought, a Ruger 10/22.
