For quite some time I have been looking to purchase a colonial firing flintlock replica pistol and I cannot seem to find a website that actually sells flintlocks. Many websites say that they do sell firing flintlocks but when I go into the category to look at them all they sell are the .45 Cal Kentucky Percussion pistol and the .45 Cal Le Page Dueling pistol. Any help would be much apprieciated. Thankyou

Be aware, many of the flintlocks these companies sell do not have the touchhole drilled (making them unfireable). Drilling the hole is a fairly simple procedure for people who are knowledgeable in such things, a decent gunsmith should be able to do it in a couple minutes.

Then again, there's always:

Dixie, the big daddy of mail-order black powder goodness.... a few of the flintlocks they sell are like those above (no touchhole drilled), but mostly they're ready to go.

Then, looking around, I found these guys: http://www.piratescovearms.com/weapons.html
Don't know anything about them, other than they're a custom builder and prices will probably be appropriate (ie kind of spendy)... but they have some nice-looking stuff...

Here's another custom makers site (most of the pics are of long guns, but they make handguns too): http://www.clarkindustries.on.ca/master.html?http://www.clarkindustries.on.ca/gunw.html

Anyway, there are probably a few others out there on the web as well, but these should give you a good starting point...

Dixie Gun Works. If it's related to BP, they'll have it. Catalog is still only $5 and cheap at twice the price for the amount of reference info and entertainment you get.

I agree with getting a Dixie catalog. You'll spend the next six months reading through it. Dixie (DGW) or Track of the Wolf (TOW) are your two best options. I'm sure both will have something, your problem will be deciding between the two companies offerings.

Someone has already mentioned Middlesex Trading. I have one of their English Sea Service pistols and it's a very reliable shooter with excellent ignition. At 7 yards, the farthest I've shot it, it's dead on.
