I bought an ammo box with 2,000 rounds of this today for $100 before sales tax. I have never used it and looked it up tonight and this seems to be verbage from Winchester.

Winchester M-22 ammunition was designed for use in AR platform Modern Sporting rifles. The black plated bullets allow for consistent feeding in high capacity magazines and reduce barrel fouling. This ammunition is loaded with an extremely clean burning powder and features non-corrosive priming for consistent, sure-fire ignition.

I am not planning to shoot it in an AR platform but I am hoping my 22;s will eat it, we will see. I especially liked "extremely clean burning powder" if that is true. Anybody with any actual experience with it?

I haven’t tried the M-22 specifically, but after a horrible experience years ago with Winchester Supreme .17 HMR ammo, I foolishly purchased a couple boxes of the current Winchester Varmint .17 HMR. It is just as bad as the old Supreme. Frequent misfires, mediocre accuracy and just disappointing. I really thought they would have improved their quality control.
For .22 lr, I will stick with CCI as 1st choice, and Federal bulk as second option.
I hope your M-22 is a lot better than I expect it will be.

It’s really not bad. Bought some during the ammo shortage a couple years ago. I have run a few hundred rounds of it with no problems. Accuracy is decent. And the powder does burn pretty clean. But I’ll take CCI over all others.

I have shot a good bit of it. I don't find it any cleaner or any more accurate that some of the other lesser expensive ammo like Blazer or Automatch.

I haven't had any issues with M-22 ammo. I have shot it in most all of my .22auto's and it works just fine. That being said, I don't do any bench shooting with .22's, I haven't noticed it being any cleaner or dirtier than any other "field grade" .22 ammo.

Thanks for the replies. My expectations for any bulk 22LR are not that high and the ammo box was a plus.

Thanks Again!
