I am a gigantic fan of the Mora for bushcraft and general utility use around the house. The one drawback I've had is I can't seem to find any sort of double edged blade in the Mora style and grind. Is there anything in a similar design and price?

Alternatively, how feasible would be be to add a grind to the ridge of the knife to turn a standard mora into a double edge?

Question , Why would you want to modify a useful knife into something less useful ? and in most places illegal?

also cheap daggers are out there if thats what you're looking for

What exactly would you use a double-edge Mora knife for??

Seems sharpening the back edge would take about 95% of the all-around usefulness of a Mora knife away.

All you would have is a boot dagger that would be pretty useless, if not dangerous for everyday cutting chores..

I'm kinda with these other posters. Plus I think grinding an edge on a standard one would ruin the temper.

They are good knives though just as they are. I just used my carbon steel clipper this morning to totally dismember a 32 gallon plastic trash can (animals had chewed a hole in it so I was throwing it out).

That's because there never was and was no reason for one since the founding in the late 1800's. They were made to be work and hunting knives and you don't see double edged knives in those categories.

Why would you want to change it? It wouldn't be a mora, now would it.;)
