Double stack Kahr 9mm ???

I've been dreaming of a 15+1 4" barrel Kahr 9mm for years now. I don't think Kahr is ever going to make it. Is there anything out there that replicates or comes close to the Kahr trigger with these specs?

The discontinued S&W 5946 (light DAO version of the 5906), SIG P226 or P229 with the DAK trigger, and any HK 9mm with the LEM trigger are the closest three I can think of. Even closer to your specs, but even harder to find, would be the discontinued Para Ordnance P18-9 LDA.

I have a walther ppx which has a very good double action only trigger but the gun is huge. The trigger pull is very clean and I would guess at about 4.5lbs. It's a little odd looking but it shoots great. CDNN has them on sale cheap right now.

If you like the Kahr trigger you will like the Sig DAK trigger.

I have had both, and can say that, aside from the long reset, the LDA trigger doesn't feel anything like the Kahr trigger.

I wonder how the Sig P250 would compare. I may look into one since I cant find a used Kahr I like.

However, one thing to consider about the Kahr is that being single stack, they conceal very well. A double stack wont.

I was thinking about the Sig P250 compact too. I need to find a range that has one for rent. I dry fired one at a gun show and the trigger was pretty nice.

That would be intersting, but Kahr's niche seems more geared toward slim, easy-to-conceal handguns.

I'm a Kahr fan, but I have to say that they already struggle enough with their single stack magazines, mainly the followers. If they ever did make a double stack, they better find a different subcontractor than whoever makes their current follower.

I'd like to see a double stack .45 acp Kahr in their tactical series.
