IMO, there is MORE of a security issue storing them in a car.

I wouldn't be surprised if the car was sought out for the prize of a free rifle inside.

In my 20 years of working with The City of ***** ***** Police Department (1985-2005), not one Remington 870 shotgun was ever stolen out of an Officers cruiser.

Over 100 LEO's, and this was in heavily populated, high crime, South Florida.

That is my point. Very,very low. There are even stories of people being hit by meteorites! But yes, Vegas will put out good odds against the long gun being stolen from the trunk of a LEO'S vehicle.

As to getting carried away, we have all done that in our time here. No problem.
