Here's my Douk Douk knife I got last year. So far, it's been a great knife for the relatively low price. Definitely beats most budget name brands imo and all no names.

The whole knife and handle is carbon steel, though I'm not sure what type exactly. It can and , as you can see, has, rust. If it's not oil every few days or used when wet. The blueing has mostly worn smooth and the blade etching has started to wear away.
Blade can be very sharp and only takes a good few runs to get sharpen on a stone.
It's an old school design that you don't see very often and does it's job well IMG_20220318_145726528.jpg

We've featured DDs in threads for years. Great low cost knife.
I'm surprise by it's quality even now. As much I love my case, which I need to post about one day, this gets carried more and gives the case a run for it's money in my tasks with it.

Owned one.

Wasn’t impressed at all. The blade has no nail knick and is impossible for these old paws to open when wet or oily. Also, doesn’t hold an edge well at all. Very cheap steel. It’s got sharp corners all over that will rub a hole in your pocket in no time.

I’ll stay with my trusty Buck 110 thank you very much.

Mine actually have some very smooth edges, the only part that wasn't was near the top but I sanded that with the concrete. It can get dull quickly but for some reason the last sharping I did has held up pretty well.

The lack of nail nick is what actually draw me to this knife, as I personally also felt that they serve little purpose to me and never looked good on blade.

Interesting knife, and can’t say as I recall ever seeing one in person. But I’ve heard of them. Cool knife!
