Anybody know what this is from? It’s similar to rough cut sawdust. Just kinda crumbles. Southwest Pennsylvania. IMG_9235.jpeg IMG_9236.jpeg IMG_9234.jpeg IMG_9233.jpeg
 
Looks a lot like beaver scat.

I would have to send one of those to the wife though and say, “Look what I almost stepped in.”

We are about two miles from running water but we had a drought about 15 years ago and had a beaver show up at one of our tanks, shortly after that a nutria. In all my life we have never had either before or since and neither were harmed.

They probably pooped along the way.
 
From the naturalist guide above, there's a strong indication that it is a beaver.
