In regards to fiber optic being durable, I have used a fiber optic front sight of some sort and black rear since 2006 for everything. If installed correctly it has held up very well for me. Folks that know me understand what I put my guns through. I’m about as gentle with them as you would be with a hammer; they are tools and must always work.
Here's the thing to understand about FO sights - properly configured, they are not the sight. They are merely an attention-getting device intended to draw your eye to the front sight and/or provide greater front-sight awareness while focused on the target. I've had FO's fall out or break while shooting. You just keep shooting. The front sight is still there. You're just back to the equivalent of a plain black sight. If your FO falls out on your EDC gun, it is not that big a deal.
I have the same sights on one of my carry guns. Very quick to acquire without my reading glasses.I like the TruGlo TFX Pro, they are built tough and have fiber and tritium combined.
Has anyone ran fiber optic sights only on their EDC? Is so, please share your thoughts and experience.
What about at night under low light conditions? Anyone do a low light class with fiber optics?

I think this is a key point. They are easily and cheaply user serviced.I've broken my fiber optic once and it's a simple 1 minute fix with a lighter.
I just put that same setup on my edc. While checking them out after I installed them, I noticed that I can not see the front sight at all under low light against a dark background.I have dawson precision sights on my EDC (FO front, plain rear). never had an issue with them. the way i figured it, worst case scenario, if the fiber falls out then i have plain black sights which i would prefer to night sights anyway.
