Elk Grips

I want a set of Elk grips on my 1911 I like the way they look but I know nothing about them
if you have a set can you tell me how they feel in your hand are the slippery if they get wet
will they last is it better to get Full Bark or smooth

To my knowledge they can be had in a high polish or a bit more aú naturel. Some places do it different than others, some will do it exactly how you want.

I'd like to get one set with a little bark and one fairly smooth set. For my range gun, and carry gun, respectively.
