This is my first post and question on the non-firearms section. I do not know much about knives and other bladed weapons.

I have researched for a couple of weeks though. Tonight, I ordered a Emerson/Protech CQC-7 Automatic Tanto Tactical knife. I paid $188.00, plus free shipping. Tactical knife, black blade, knurl handle. 154-CM stainless.

Does anyone have any experience with this knife? Or with 154-CM steel?

Thanks much, as I know very little about this...

Sorry Mr. Moderator--This should probably be posted in a seperate thread line. Please move (thank you)

I'll point out that asking about the thing after already ordering it is getting the cart before the horse if you want to find out that you're looking at a worthwhile product. ;)

In this case you did fine. :D

There's a lot of experience here with 154-CM and a lot of people like it.

Protech is a good company that produces good products.

You need to understand what the laws in OK are for switchblade so you know what is and isn't legal for you to do with the knife. Look at the switchblade stickie at the top of this forum if you don't already know.

Thanks HSO. I'm really just now learning about these things. Looking forward to the Protech/Emerson coming in.

Protech makes just about the best production ots autos around. By far the best I've ever owned or used. They fire hard and fast, are reliable and well made. 154CM is a good steel that will do anything you need it to.
