Most dealers who charge high transfer fees do so because they order and stock a lot of guns. That gets expensive. So they’d rather you buy directly from them instead of transferring through them. And often you can get them to sell you a gun they have (or can order) at roughly the same out-the-door price as if you ordered it online.
I doubt many dealers stock that firearm, so see if one can order it for you a price around $10 - $30 over an internet price. That will roughly match the price you’d pay including an average transfer fee if you bought the gun online. And when a dealer orders a firearm that’s in stock at a distributor, it usually takes a week or less to come in, so it should take about the same amount if time to get it as it would if you ordered it online.
