Has anyone mounted an EOTech on a lever action rifle? Do you think it would work? I’ve got a Marlin 1894 SS and was wondering if there is a mount that would work for this?

I cannot point you in the right direction but I have indeed seen a couple levers with Eotechs and Aimpoints mounted.

One of them was traditional wood etc. The other was black poylmer, stainless steel and frankly looked evil. Kind of like it came from the Roy Rogers School of Tactical Entry.

when I think of a tricked out levergun.. Yost-Bonitz " Big Lewie" package comes to mind.

be a nice package putting on EOTECH on that.

The EOtech is going to sit pretty high over the barrel. I tried my Trijicon Reflex sight on my 1894 and it was just too high for a quick sight picture.

An Aimpoint or a Tri Power would sit much lower.

I went to a 2X pistol scope mounted very low on an XS scout mount and it is quicker than the Reflex.

For the price of an EOTech you could get an Aimpoint Comp C3 and get way better battery life.

I have an Aimpoint mounted on my Winchester 94 Trapper's scout rail, and it works very well. It is at the right height for me, and is quick to acquire.

It also looks awesome :)

You may want to use buttcuff to raise the comb around a quarter inch for an Eotech.

Makes sense to me.

Check to make sure the sight height works for you, though; otherwise you may be happer with a regular red dot, as others have mentioned.

The .30-30 is ballistically similar to 7.62x39mm, and plenty of people put red dots on AK's and SKS's.
