This thread went into a topic I've not seen on the THR so far (unless you include the zombie what-ifs). The threat was discussing supernatural interactions. It raised a question in my mind.
Before I pose my question, I stress I am not trying to get into a debate about "do ghosts exist" or "what science or the Bible says on the matter". I'm more interested in hearing actual anecdotes and stories from home-defense conscious THR members who may have a supernatural factor in their home. Mods stay with me here.
So with that disclaimer issued, does anyone here live in a "haunted house" or have a family member that lives in one? The reason I ask, is how to you react to strange noises at night in such a home? If I heard footsteps coming up my stairs at night, I grab for a gun and a flash light. (as I assume most of you do) If I hear voices or banging around downstairs late at night, I'm up in my boxers in a second and armed. But how do you stay ready if your house is haunted and you hear such noises (footsteps, moaning, thumping, etc) on a regular nocturnal basis??
The next part of the question is more in depth. Has anyone here seen a "ghost"? Has anyone drawn on a ghost? Has anyone opened fire on a ghost? I know some of you are laughing at this, but if I see a strange man standing in my bedroom at 3 AM who isn't responding to verbal challenges- there is a good chance he might take a hollow point to the chest. But what if that "man" isn't a real man? Fortunately, I don't live in a haunted house nor have I ever seen a ghost.
So again, to keep this thread on target, I'm not trying to debate "if ghosts exist" I'm more interested in hearing stories of those who have had supernatural experiences in their home, and how it related to their home defense reactions.
