Every day for this entire year I will post old school printed gun ads each day.

the one seat version with the half a V-8 engine. That thing was embarrassing in any hilly terrain

The diesel was pretty bad too. Good vehicles but hard on fuel and weak as water.

Full time four wheel drive,

The new process 203. Ford/Chevrolet/ Dodge all used it.. Great idea back when roads were dirt and vehicles got 15 mpg anyway. . Not so great for pavement. I have several. Luckily one can swap in a NP 205 unit very easily. Direct bolt in.

As far as ads here is one for the "WD-40 WAS NEVER MEANT FOR GUNS" guys

And one for the Colt guys. 160 dollar python 20210218_104809.jpg

Also if you read what Cooper says it undoes the guns for bear thread. Says its only good for deer up to 100 lb......guess one can aim for the spots that way . Lol

So many wonderful Savage 99s to purchase

They aren't rare around here by any means. At least 90% are 300 savage. But none look like the one in the picture. I often see many guns and think "what a waste" because they are 50-100 years old and look unfired. But for whatever reason, every 99 i see looks like hell. I have a 300 and a 308. Both rough. Ive seen probably 100. Even a couple in the "gun library" back in the day. They were well used too.

I've seen a lot of bear. Many up close. Apparently we have the Bob Ross bear. Maybe the Teddy bear. All the bear ads have some pretty dang mean looking bear.

Just for continuity heres a buck and a Beretta tip up ad.

We will leave out the "are you man enough for a hairy chest" type ads. Lol. You old guys bought some weird stuff......

There are easy to find Savage models and then there are some not so easy to find models. Savage made these for almost 100 years. My favorite savage 99 is the Musket.. How I so wish they did make that in British 303 and not Savage 303.. But it was war time..
