So I had decided to assemble another AR-15 these past few months considering prices are relatively low and might be going up in the near future. As I've done in the past I got parts piece meal and when it came time to get an upper receiver that wasn't part of an assembled upper it was really hard to find one with the port door and FA installed. I did some searching and ended up on Delta Team Tactical's website that they had an Anderson upper "in stock".

I placed my order and almost immediately my account was debited and honestly I didn't think anything of it. This mind you took place on August 25th. The website explicitly stated that High Demand items would take 1-2 weeks to ship. Upon ordering there was no indication that the upper was considered high demand and I wasn't placing an order on a back-ordered item, it was in stock.

2 weeks go by and I pretend to be patient and send an email asking for an update on my order. I included my full name and order number as well as contact info. No reply at all. I also called their customer service number and got a "this number is not in service" message. Lovely.

A week later I use their website's internal messaging system to put in a customer request, again with order number and contact information. Again no reply. I call again, still not in service.

It's been 3 weeks since ordering and there has been zero communication on their side of things and I'm getting a bit frustrated so I decide to call their number one more time and I get "Hello?". I have to ask the girl on the phone if I called the right number and lo and behold, we have contact.

After giving her my information she proceeds to tell me that the upper I ordered never was actually in stock but they were waiting on a shipment from Anderson and that it would arrive to them in 2 weeks. I asked for her name and got "why do you need to know my name?" which was enough for me and I asked her to cancel my order which she was more than happy to do. 3 days later I had my money back and I ordered an in stock upper from Primary Arms that was on my porch in 4 business days.

Yesterday however I come home from work to find a parcel in my mail box marked from DTT. Inside was the Anderson upper and nothing else. My bank account hasn't been charged and according to them nothing is pending on my account either. I'm not to sure what to do, I figure I'll call monday morning during their posted hours to figure out what's up but honestly my experience with this business is enough to make me not want to even look at their site ever again. I would encourage others to avoid them too; after some digging it turns out this seems to be the norm with these people. Cheers.

ha. too funny. sounds like a couple of dummies trying to run a warehouse out of their kitchen. they may come after you though for their money - with that kind of customer service, you may have their annual gross income in your hand.

right thing to do is call them up, tell them if they send you a pickup tag you'll send it back to them.

I have had generally good experiences with Delta Team. They are slow to ship, it seems, but have always delivered. They sent an immediate replacement for a buffer tube that cracked after only a few rounds. Their prices are generally very good for the more "generic" type items like slings, parts kits, etc. I am using a couple of the drop in trigger sets they sell for less than $100. I can't tell the difference between them and the high dollar units from Geissele, Timney & others. The BCGs they sell also seem to be good to go for me. YMMV
