I was reminded of these in another post. If anyone has used these and knows where I can currently get them, please let me know. They are a blast for airgun and rimfire shooting at close range, and for long range "did I hit the target or not" shots. Believe me, you know when you hit these things. What they were was a small, 2" square, peel and stick on the backside, orange target dot on the front. When you hit the target dot, these things exploded with the power of an m-80. They came in a package of 5 or 10 (this was a long time ago, so I am not sure). They were about half an inch thick (obviously held a good amount of flash powder in them.) If anyone knows where to get these, or if they even exist still, please let me know!

I've used the shooting star targets from sportsmans guide a few times, they work good but they won't work for airguns or .22 lr.

I remember these and havent seen them in a while I only ever ran into them at gun shows. The are fun though I always liked how sometimes if you didnt hit in the center or with a straight shot they would burst into flames rather then blow up.

I think you're referring to the "BULLZ-I" targets (patent number 4,498,677) formerly made by the J.G. Dapkus Company. You can Google around but I believe they're no longer available as Dapkus, while still existing as a distributor, no longer manufactures pyrotechnics.

I have wondered if drilling some holes in a golf ball just big enough for a few shotgun primers would cause it to explode if hit by a bullet.

Agent orange, I looked up what you posted and I believe you are correct. Those things worked great. I wonder if I made my own using tannerite, if I could add something to the mix that would make them go off more easily so they could be used with airguns and handguns.

Sure Shot Mini's

You can get a bigger boom and it's 10 for $18 from Sure Shot Exploding Targets. The Magnum target sold by Sure Shot Targets are .22LR sensitive and are the most powerful allowed by law!

The only exploding target company that makes a .22 long rifle sensitive taget is sure shot, you will acualy be pretty suprised i love them!!!!!!! I was a faithful customer or a othertarget distributor untill sure shot came along

.....someone works for the company me thinks......

EDIT: someone does in fact work for sureshot.......just to let you know, its kind of deceitful to plug a product without letting people know you are the one that makes it.

Considering in her bio page it says "works for sure shot", I don't think she's trying to hide that fact.

its the way her post was written that did it for me......

This is what I used to buy at the Austin Gun shows..

I find older 'Light beer' works well

I have trouble finding older dark beers, they all seem to be empty...
BTW, almost everything made in america by a major brewer falls into the light beer AKA lager category

Iam most definaltley not trying to hide the fact that i work for smith indutries, LLC i love working there, iam just here to give my opinion just like everyone else.

Thankyou! Iam not trying to hide it at all i love it there iam just here to voice my opinion, sure shot hasnt been around for ever, all i was saying is before they came around my family and friends shot other brands. sure shot is a very good company and iam not just saying this as an employee. i love the targets more than any other brand

Incendiary rounds and open, partially filled gasoline jerry cans light up. Milk jugs filled with ice also make a nice display.
