extracting primer, reuse

Pull the bullets and sell the primed brass. It seems like a lot of trouble to save $15 in primers.

I think I could come close to doing the 500 cases in approx 1 hour, and I've worked for a heck of alot less than $15.00 bucks an hour in my life. Furthermore if perchance the OP is retired time is not an essence and possibly $15.00 does mean something.

Don't ask me how I know!

I believe you would be better off selling the ammo and purchasing new primers.

Being as we do not know the particulars regarding this, selling them may not be the way to go. First he can not ship them. We have no idea how far he may have to travel to accomplish the sale, remember $3.70 for a gal of gas would enter into the expense factor. I could go on but I think you get what I'm getting at.

Is it easy or possible to extract small pistol primers from the brass and reuse them?

I've got 500 rounds of 9x18, and I don't have any gun to shoot it. So I'm thinking about pulling the bullet and extracting the primer if possible and reusing them in other calibers.
I'll buy them from Ya. Or maybe a trade of some kind. Not quite sure if we're talking ammo or primed cases tho.

I thought, when the primers are seated, the anvil which is protruded a bit compresses the mixture so the primer will go off easier.

I've taken apart too many mistakes to count over the years.
It's totally safe to pop the primer out & reuse them!
