Grey Wolf Training Specialists, Inc. located at 525 Bridgeport Ave. Shelton, CT. 06484 is currently awaiting the delivery of our F.A.T.S. Virtual Reality Training Simulator. Expected delivery will be the middle of August 2008 and although being primarily based at our offices is portable and will be available for deployment to other locations.

At this time, we are currently accepting appointments for private citizens to come in and use the system for training or recreation. Although our current library of different interactive scenarios is approximately 195, we are currently in the process of developing custom scenarios including anti-kidnapping, anti-carjacking, zombie invasions and much more.

Unlike the older versions of the system which required a "tether" to a air-tank to work, this system is completely integrated and utilizes "Bluetooth" wireless technology which allows for the following features:

1. The ability for the instructor to control the magazine capacity and simulate stoppages (requiring a magazine change).

2. Full on-screen shooter diagnostics to include Grip / Trigger Pressure, Muzzle Tracing, Times.

3. A "Hostile Fire System" which will return fire should an incorrect action be taken.

4. Much more.

As stated above, public access to this system will be available at our offices by appointment and the cost is $25.00 per hour which includes basic tactical shooting instruction to include drawing, reloading, etc.

Additional information on both this system and our other "Live-Fire" services is available by contacting us at: [email protected] or by contacting our offices at: 203.567.4856

Wow, this certainly sounds like a great deal.

Folks if you haven't experienced this before I would definately give it a try.

SWEET!! We had a FATS system in the USAF...VERY fun! We did some regular training but when you really delve into it, it can induce some stress, especially with mag changes, stoppages, etc.

I experienced F.A.T.S. training as part of a more comprehensive course. The simulator session - although all too brief - was the most intense and instructive part of the entire course.

I have been wanting to do more of it and have been frustrated with the lack of a facility in my area that offers stand-alone sessions by the hour.

I think you have winner! I would be interested in exploring the details of such a business enterprise. I will hit your link for more information.

Folks, that's a smokin' deal that greywolf is offering you.

I charge almost five times what they charge for simulator training. :uhoh:

I think my equipment's better, but I've gotta admit, it's not that much better!

if you have the opportunity to take greywolf up on his offer....DO IT!!!!
not only is it a great training aid, but it is FUN as well.
$25/hr is cheap cheap...its easy to blow through that much ammo in an hour at the range.
the FATS system i used had a wide range uf waepons to use, and offered select fire options.
wish i lived closer.

I've used FATS, quite interesting. Presumably improved from good then to great now.

Irrelevant: I live a few miles from FATS, and know people who worked there.

I dunno. I've used FATS twice now in the Air Force. In pure shoot/don't shoot scenarios it can have value, but the scenarios I've seen besides being extremely dated, just lack the interaction you're going to encounter, or am forced to use my gun when things like an ASP, or Taser, or other less-lethal options might be better.

I guess for civilians with a pure "fear for my life" encounter, it might prove more useful.

The systems I've used have inert OC and you can use a training asp on a dummy. No taser yet but I'm sure it's on the way.

We are currently awaiting the arrival of our "Tetherless" M4 rifle which will be our next addition. At this time, we only have 3 handguns 2 - Glocks and 1 - Sig Sauer P226.

As for the Zombie module. This is something which we are creating in-house with the assistance of a commercial video editing company. With any luck, this will be ready before Halloween of this year.
