Quigley

The "bucket" scene in Quigley Down Under. Followed by the pistol shoot out at the end.

When Augustus McCrea puts his Colt Walker in the face (after bloodying his nose against the bar) of the bartender that had just disrespected him and Woodrow Call. A scene from the Lonesome Dove series. Gotta love Robert Duvall in that role.

Most of my favorites have been covered, but one - from Kelly's Heroes. It's the scene where the .30 cal is chewing holes in the wall of the German officers' barracks. Oh, and the Tiger tank shooting up the town square. That's plain awesome watching that monster roll around (hey, that 88 is a gun so it counts. :) ). FWIW, I don't think there is an operational Tiger left on the planet now.

Off topic:
Thanks for whoever made the post on Audie Murphy.

Holy crap, the guy was a real life superman. I read through some of his military stuff. Un freaking believable.

the second is Rampage Jackson in the tunnel with the AA12 in "The Expendables". Definitely need an AA for home defense, never can too much fire power!

Actually, Terry Crews is the actor in the Expendables... It was quite a funny scene thou...

Good one. And don't forget where Oddball loosens the Luger in his holster and they walk down the street with the Spaghetti Western music playing and the ever so slight sound of spurs "chinking" in the background...

(And yes, I have seen this movie way too many times...):)

Hehe, yeah I get a big grin whenever I see that scene.

This is obscure. Robert Loggia in Innocent Blood. He plays a mafia hood that is attacked by a beautiful avenging vampire. As being bitten, he pulls a J frame from an ankle holster and shoots her off him. He survives to become a vampire also. Being a J fan, I liked the intro of realism to vampire defense.

When they made the classic film Kelly's Heroes in 1970 they commissioned the building of a Tiger 1 tank replica. As there were no Tiger 1's working in the world it was decided the best way to do this was to get a T34 as they were readily available at the time and make the top half look like a Tiger. It was not entirely accurate as it still had the T34 running gear and it had zimmerit applied even though the rest of the tank was a early edition but unless you had a good knowlege of the Tiger tank these things still looked real.

"It's a wasted trip Baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers."

Oddball - Kelly's Heroes

two more...

I wanted to add that the scene in "The Wind and the Lion" where the english gentleman is dropping riders with his revolver till 'click' is truly awesome.

And in one of the Naked Gun movies where the guy keeps adding stuff to his pistol till it is a full fledged anti-aircraft gun!

"Major Payne just terminated that bad man with extreme prejudice, and if he's still in there, he ain't happy!"

If it were safe to do that, my kids would never be scared.

I'm also a fan of the second gunfight in Bad Boys II, the one where they're chasing the guys that are chasing Marcus's sister. When he dumps 6-8 rounds of .45 into the Lowrey's dash. Their reactions are priceless.

I love the classics, too, but most of those have already been mentioned several times.

OK, I'll play...

From Sudden Impact:

[Horace King Fires two shotgun blasts a the target]
Harry Callahan: Not bad.

Horace King: Not bad, my ass! You've got to strain the remains for the fingerprints.

Harry Callahan: Well, this is the .44 Magnum Auto-Mag. And, if properly used, it can remove the fingerprints.
:D
