Deniro and Samuel Jackson watching the machine gun sales video in Jakie Brown. Sam Jackson says... "AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every in the room, accept no substitutes." Makes me chuckle every time .

Oh, THIS one is an easy one!

Army of Darkness, where "Good-Ash" encounters his evil twin, "Bad-Ash", who smacks him around, calling him "goodie little two-shoes"

The evil twin get's a double barrel shotgun to the nose, with the phrase:

"Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun."

OK, you talked me into it:

Include any gun scene from: My Name is Nobody, They Call Me Trinity, Trinity is Still My Name.

My Name is Nobody:

"You know what they say? He could draw his gun three times before the other guy even starts reaching! Like this!" (Draws 4 times) "Well...we gotta shoot it out, I'm ready." (about 27 minutes nito the movie):

They Call Me Trinity:

"Least you can do for a man who wants to die is wish him a cross with his name on it. You just give him your name...you'll get one." "They call me Trinity." "Trinity! Why, that's...the right hand of the devil!" (about 8 minutes into the movie):

Trinity is Still My Name:

"You like to see that again? It's hard to catch the first time." (about 41 minutes into the movie):

I haven't seen any recent movies with gun scenes that really "tripped my trigger" (sorry). The one in TOMBSTONE where Ringo twirls the gun and Holliday twirls his tin cup is probably my favorite. Either that one, or the "Say When!" scene of the same movie.

So no one has mentioned Rambo.... 2 movies 3 scenes and I can picture some of you rolling your eyes, but they are freaking cool. And when I think of gun scenes these pop Into my head.

1st, the second installment in the Rambo series, the vietnamese officer is firing at Rambo with a pistol and Rambo calmly loads an exploding arrow Into his bow and proceeds to remove the vietnamese officer from the face of the earth.

2nd, his chopper is on The ground as the smoke clears Rambo is faking being dead and surprizes the Russian pilot with an rpg to the face. Ruins his day. I count rpgs as guns For this purpose.

And last, in Rambo 4 when he sacks the truck mounted 50 machine gun and rips everyone in front of it in half.

I named my dog Rambo btw, so I may be bias.
And thank you all for reminding me about some of those gems I need to watch again.

Movies that build up to a short gun scene are far better then movies which include them everywhere. Even when it's just a hunting gun they build up to, where the shoot them up movie has all kinds of tacticool weapons.

I remember in the signs movie when he grabbed that double barrel I just wanted to see that alien gray blasted with 3" 000, alas it never happened.

Say, if you were to shoot an alien, could you have it mounted, or would you be arrested for murder, or the DNR informed for poaching? Would you need a permit to possess their laser pistol if they had one, or would it be a destructive device? Hmm.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the first time John Wayne is seen in Big Jake. Maureen O'Hara precedes by saying retrieving her grandchild will take a particularly unpleasant sort of man. Next seen is of one of John Wayne's big blue eyes looking down the sights of a lever gun, stops and says "No sir, I ain't. I haven't butted into any body's business since I was 18 years old at which it nearly got me killed." Wayne starts to turn away when dog growls. Wayne turns back to see a cattle rancher kick a little boy who was trying to stop the hanging of a sheep herder. Wayne's comment was "Why did he have to go and do that?" I wish I could find a poster of that blue eye looking down the sights of a lever gun.

You could always play the movie on a computer, freeze the scene, then screen shot it.

;)

I always liked the scene in "Shot Through the Heart" where the three friends are shooting olives off of toothpicks out in the field while their wives prepare dinner and their children are playing.

It’s also a great movie showing the horrors, bitterness, and atrocities of the Bosnian civil war in Sarajevo following the fall of Yugoslavia.

ETA: Also one of the few movies I know of that actually shows reloading in the movie.

I didn't read the whole thread but I bet someone else probably mentioned it; Final Shootout, Open Range. My favorite to date.

Here ya go...I did this with a screen shot from a youtube video and MS Paint at work. You could probably do lots better screenshotting this on a laptop from a DVD.

For me...Outlaw Josey Wales is my all time favorite. So anything from that movie is fun for me.

If you have never seen it try " the Wind and the Lion". Sean Connery stars with Candace Bergman. The lead on is the best. Bedouin horsemen, riding hard, coming into a village. As they storm through the narrow streets and bazzars the people scatter or are trampled. Ropes holding tents are cut.
Through out this the scene cuts to a British couple having tea by a pool. Suddenly the horsemen burst through into the pool area. The Brit guy says "sit down, Martha!"...out comes the Webley. A rider rolls off with each shot until you see "click, damn!,chop!" ... and Martha is kidnapped.

A great start ...and the movie is OK, too.

Open Range shootout

The final shootout in Broken Trail

Act of Valor

The battle at Hac in Behind Enemy Lines was also good.

...and the 3:10 to Yuma remake.

It's from Act of Valor, SEALs drove their getaway vehicle into a river and the SWCC teams got there just in time (of course). The good part starts around the 20 second mark

Someone beat me to it. The boats laying down the lead wall to protect the SEALs is just totally bamf. I wanted to stand up in the theater and scream FUDGE YEAH!!! Also pretty much any movie where an M1 Tank is firing gets me amped up. (19K was my MOS when I was a soldier)
