That, Senor, is one hand whacking, knuckle dusting, deep penetrating accurate load in any .357 I've ever shot. I get just about 50 fps more velocity out of as with the same charge in .357 Mag brass seated deeper. Rod

BK is showing 7 in black for the K frames in stock as of right now.

Although marked "K" on the back, these also fit L frames. And most people have reported that they fit properly on N frames as well.

They're harder to find and more expensive these days, but I love round butt finger groove Ahrends combats for my Smith snubbies. They fit the hand and point well for me.
I do have a set of VZ grips on the way for my 2 3/4" M69. It has a tendency to smack my thumb pretty hard with heavier loads. I have a set of ebay thailand grips that work pretty well, but I'm always looking for improvements.
I don't care for the feel of most rubber grips, but grips are one of those subjective individual things. What works for one may not work for another.

The Robertson Trading Posts grip adapters are well made. They're not quite as good and well fitting as a Tyler T-Grip, but they do work well and are much easier to get.
I had one on a 66-2 that I used to own. I did contour the inside a little to fit closer to the frame and grips

The 2" was a model 15-3 that was as 6" pawn shop gun that the previous owner had put a longer barrel on. However, it was originally a 2" gun, so I found a used barrel and had it mounted.What exactly is the blued delicious snubby??

Of the two, I like the Hogue grips on the Model 13 best. It fits my hand well and keeps the gun in place when shooting.

Hogue's Monogrip has worked well for me...just about eliminates the 2nd knuckle whack on my J-Frame M-60 3" bbl'd Smith with stout loads. And while I've tried the Pachmayr's Compac Professionals I found them 'sticky' for CC use (they'd allow my cover garment to ride up)...but that could have been that I didn't give them a thorough enough cleaning or whatever, also they felt a bit 'fatter', midsection in my palm than the Monogrips.
Both are fugly for sure, being rubber, but the only wood grips that ever came close to them in recoil management & that I've tried extensively were Ahrends finger grooves. I have one set on a K-frame M-19 (in Birdseye Maple), that work almost as well as the Mono's.
My take on grip design is that few grip makers, wood or rubber, get the 2nd finger radius down low enough or with just the right radius to prevent 2nd finger rap against the trigger guard. I can take a lot more slap up in the web than I can with the 2nd knuckle so that poor digit really gets a beating with all of my DA revolvers using heavy loads.
It's a trade off, I know, in that if the radius is low enough to help with the knuckle rap, it also forces the gun up in the hand, resulting in a higher bore axis with its increased muzzle flip. That's a prescription for slower 2nd shots...not good in a CC piece.
In the pic below, note the difference in the Mono's on my M-60 Smith and how low they get the support finger with respect to the trigger guard..no rap with that design. But without really big hands, the web between the thumb and trigger finger will be positioned much lower, effectively raising the bore axis.
Now look at this set of early S&W combat grips on my M-63, and how high that 2nd finger support radius is. It exposes most of the trigger guard which results in a rap on the 2nd finger. The M-63 is of course a .22 with no recoil, but when that same set of grips are on the M-60 with even moderate loads...it's down right painful.
All that said, and YMMv....but I wish I'd invested in a couple more sets of Ahrend's stocks for a few my other, not so heavy recoiling, K's and N's. In the example I have of a set of his finger grooved combats, the radius contacts the rear of the trigger guard below the mid point of the trigger, but not so low as to significantly raise the bore axis....
Ck out V8Stang's post #32 for Ahrend's grips and note the radius and intersection of the trigger guard and grip...about as good as you'll find anywhere for a trade off between bore axis/web height and 2nd finger knuckle rap. Best Regards, Rod

Cool project. 2" Model 15's are a bit rare so it is good you could return the revolver to its original configuration.
I have a 2"and 4" Model 15 as well as a 6"and 8-3/8" Model 14. Great 38 Special revolvers.
I'm a fan of Pachmayr grips over wood grips. But wood grips look great.
