I had a customer purchase a firearm from me and have it shipped to Washington. It is a Hellcat RPD with a threaded barrel. They called me at the receiving FFL stating they could not do the transfer because of the threaded barrel and sent it back to me. He has asked if I can just switch out the threaded barrel for a regular barrel and ship it to Washington. Anyone know the legality of this? Thanks in advance.

Should be no problem.
This sounds exactly like the same customer who asked us recently if we would send a Sig we have listed on Gunbroker but ship it without the barrel. Ultimately, he didn't buy the gun because we wouldn't give him a discount for having kept the barrel.
