Prayer request for a dying friend

My partner in ministry, shooting buddy, and dear and beloved friend, Debra Frances Bonino, is dying. I took her to hospital two weeks ago, complaining of nausea and back pains. Tragically, the doctors have found acute kidney failure, coupled with a massive and terminal cancer that has affected all her internal organs and her entire skeleton. It's been growing for some time, probably years, but because Debra is a fitness fanatic and distrusts doctors, she hasn't had regular medical check-ups where they might have caught it early. The doctors say that she's unlikely to live more than a week or so.

I've got her family down here, and we're trying to ensure that Debra's last days are as pain-free and happy as possible. Her mind is already badly affected, and she's not able to make conversation.

Please pray that Debra's death may be peaceful and pain-free, and that she may go home to God in His mercy. Thanks.

I'd pray, but I'm an atheist. Well, I was raised Catholic, so I guess I could pray, but I don't think the guy up there would listen. Good luck.

Preacherman, I am not a religious man but i do maintain I have both a humanist and spiritual approach to life ... so, that said ... I wish all that I can for this dear person's peaceful release from this mortal coil. May she fade without undue suffering .... and may you and her kin also find the strengths you need to face up to her passing.

I also ignored the signs -- I had major abdominal surgery in 2001 and am still here. My tumor was the size of a hand grenade. 2 1/2 organs gone, but I am lucky to have minimal side effects from chemo. Prayer sent.
I am sorry for your impending loss.

God Bless,

Steve

Preacherman my friend, prayers go out to you ,Debra, and her family.

Keep being reminded myself , and growing weary of the fact that things happen for a reason, acceptance is tough, Reality is tough.

Hang in there. Reality is there is no way to measure what one does while on this earth, fruits of her labor will grow and multiply.

Have consolence in that my friend.

You have my #, and know how to contact me-anytime.

What they all said. I sincerely hope the inevitable goes as well as possible.
