I was fortunate to locate a very nice S&W Model 18-3 to finalize the group of Masterpiece revolvers in my life. (The rare and elusive Model 16 .32 S&W Long is just too pricy to make it a full set for me.)
All of these revolvers are shooters, none are mint condition safe queens, so I replace the original grips with ones that fit me better and take them out to shoot when I can. I still need to order a set of matching wooden fingergroove grips and replace the Uncle Mike’s set that came on the 18-3.
The 18-3 has a touch of muzzle wear and a cylinder turn line, other than that it’s about as glossy and clean a blued Smith as I’ve found.
I was hoping to shoot it today, but honey do’s took over so I won’t get a chance to take it out for about two weeks .
Here is the Masterpiece family... plus a cousin:
4” Model 15 .38, 6” Model 14 .38, 4” Model 18 .22, 6” Model 17 .22 and a 6” Model 48 .22 Mag.
Stay safe.
