No particular reason. I did just recently pick up the two Masterpieces and thought someone might enjoy seeing them. The two Combat Masterpieces I've had for a short while anyway.

For those who want to know the prices, the two 38's were tagged at $400.00, and the two 22's at $650.00. I might or might not have paid that.

I am a sucker for diamond grips. The only reason the Model 18 doesn't have them is they're not period correct.

Well, I Think These are Nice.

Well I don't have to think about it...I know they are nice! Love them all, especially the K22! Thanks for the "shameless" show-off photos!

Very , very nice. Love the big case hardened hammers on the 15 & 18.

Your post represents a fine example of Why We Love Those Old Smiths!

All beautiful guns, but that K22 is fantastic. I've been looking for a reasonably priced on for awhile, but then something always gets in the way.

Well, I Think These are Nice

I agree!

Not much better than a good k-frame S&W.

Definitely very nice! I "need" a 4" K-22 of some sort. That 18-4 would do nicely. :)

Very nice collection. I'm a huge S&W revolver guys as well and enjoy the older models. I have a K-22 that used to belong to my uncle that he practiced with when he was a local LE back in the 50s and 60s. It shoots great, but the blueing is beat up pretty bad. Have gone back and forth on redoing it, but decided the use is part of it's charm.

I also have his M15 service revolver and I doubt he ever took it out of the holster as it's in great shape. b

Love that K 38. Especially the holster wear on the barrel.

Yessir, those are nice!

I need a K frame. My current stable houses a 3rd model "New Departure" 38 safety hammerless with about a 3" (guessing), 30-1 J frame 3", and 686-6 4". So, if you want to send any of those beautiful wheelguns on a Tennessee summer vacation I can provide room and board for them...they will eat a lot too.

Thanks everyone. 'Preciate all the comments. I figured there were a few folks here who'd enjoy seeing them.

Very , very nice. Love the big case hardened hammers on the 15 & 18.

I'm pretty fond of the target triggers and hammers also. I've always heard they weren't as good for D/A shooting, but they never seemed to bother me. I shoot just as poorly with one as the other. I mostly shoot S/A these days anyway.

All beautiful guns, but that K22 is fantastic.

Funny thing about that one. I bought it, and carried it home thinking it was a five screw. It wasn't until I cleaned it that realized it only had four.

They are wonderful. I wish I could find more of them at reasonable prices. I have a 28-2 a 29-2 and a 14-3 from the mid 70's and I paid dearly for them.

Howdy

Very nice.

Curious about the four screw K-22 from 1958. 1957 is when S&W changed over from model names to model numbers. As you probably know, in 1957 the K-22 became the Model 17. Does it say Mod-17 on the frame under the cylinder yoke, or is it truly a K-22? I have a K-38 that shipped in 1957 before the changeover to Model names, it was probably one of the last ones made before the changeover. I'm guessing a K-22 from 1958 was actually made previous to then, but maybe shipped in 1958.

Not to steal any of your thunder, here is a group photo of my K frame 22s. Left to right a Model 17-3 from 1975, a K-22 from 1950, a K-22 from 1932, a K-22 from 1935, and a K-22 Combat Masterpiece, probably from about 1953, have not dated it precisely yet.
