I've been wanting another 22lr hand gun for a long time. Since I sold my Heritage about 6 years ago.
I thought I scratched that itch a few years ago with a very nice Ruger MKIII.
Not long after getting it, I remembered how much fun 22lr's are and decided then and there I need another rimfire wheel gun.
Ruger is making some very tempting models as is Smith and Wesson. The Rugers have reports of less than stellar triggers and the Smiths are a little more pricey than I can justify right now.
While perusing Gunbroker, I spotted a K22 which looked well used but in not bad shape. It had a very modest starting bid so I figured I'd match it and see what happens.
Few days later I get a email saying I'd actually won it!
A little research shows it probably shipped March/April of 1956.
Lock up and everything seems great, not perfect but very good for a revolver of it's age. The SA is amazing and the DA is as good as any of my other vintage S&W's save my 686-0 which is in a league of its own.
But enough blathering, here's what you came for...
Now I just gotta dig a T grip adapter out of my parts box. I gotta decide between brass or nickel. Gosh, life is tough.
