I'm building a scratch 1911 from a Caspian frame and slide, and will be using a Kart EZ Fit 5" barrel. Is finish reaming something I should have done just as a matter of doing it "right" from the get-go? I've read that these are high quality barrels reason they're so popular but they can be on the tighter side of in-spec and I don't want to get everything up and running and then find out that mine is too tight or the chamber to shallow/headspace. Its also something Im considering doing now since I have the barrel but I'm about 5 weeks from the frame slide, so that I'm ready to start assembly and fitting.
I also don't want to spend upwards of $100 on a reamer and handle for one-time use so I may be looking for someone to help a fellow out for a few bucks.
