Its not a big deal IMO.

If you dont like it, you have 2 options
1) Mention it and see what happpens
2) Go to a different place.

Its being recorded whether or not they call so IMO there is no additional 'intrusion into your business'; only a little extra time.

If you dont want it recorded.... FTF + cash.

I have a ccw and they do a background check every time I purchase a new firearm, I never really even question why they do it because like others have stated just because you have the permit in hand doesn't mean it hasn't been revoked.

I just like I don't have to wait to take the new purchase home.

Yeah, it makes me wonder why they'd even have a system like that, just because I have a permit in hand doesn't mean I didn't just rob a bank yesterday or something.

Just because you passed the NICS check doesn't mean you didn't rob a bank or something, just before you walked into the gun shop, so that makes me wonder why they even bother with a system like that.

You know what I meant. Smart aleck. The permit means nothing in determining if you can lawfully posses a firearm. Unless as soon as you do something to lose that right the permit disintegrates.
