My first bowling match was tonight. Great time.
I must confess that I had some IDPA and IPSC, last time was about 2 years ago.
So we can call very few miles, was on a very comfortable indoor range, amenities like bar, assorted firearms, ammo at the shop, warm people and range officers, weren't enough to overcome my own lack of training.
Here, I go my CZ75 worked flawlessly trough the 30 round. On the other hand, my vision did not help me. To put it clear, I had lasik like 17 eyes ago. I have some far sight correction and lately I need reading glasses.
In other words, in indoor ranges with dim lights I can't see a moose painted in pink. Overall, I felt like I could do better.
I'm 53 year old, 5' 8" height, fit and in constant training, never smoke nor drink alcohol. So, here is my question for those who are still reading my grieving how do fix your both eyes correction for IPSC or Bowling matches, since I want to come back to my feet and do better on the chart before buying a dog to take me there.

Thanks in advance

My corrected vision is a good enough compromise that it allows me to see both the target and sights clearly, but I've heard that some people in this situation will have a pair of shooting glasses made with their lenses in differing prescriptions; a strong-side lens that allows arm's length focus (for the sights), and a weak-side lens with a distance focus. I don't know if that would help much, but I think it would make me go crazy in short order.

Thanks, SDC
I did an appoiment with my optometrist for next week, and I will state my needs for shooting. I would like to se better in order to come back to shooting matches often. My FAL and M-1A sights don't help for sure. Funny thing that when I shot trap did not feel my vision so bad, may be it was more intuitive than focus. I will keep post the results.
