I used to hate sights that were not click adjustable for windage and elevation on a pistol. I now find myself with many fixed sight (drift adjustable only) semi-autos in my collection, and I now prefer them.

Which brand/model of autos have you had the best, and worst experience with as far as POA=POI?

I had a Star BM once that was hopelessly off target, but my CZ's, Witness, M&P, and Glocks are on the money. My 2 Sigs are close, but not exact.

Most current manufacturers' offerings that have fixed sights are pretty close. I have seen some older production pistols that were pretty bad.

My worst experience is not very bad, so I guess I am lucky. I have a USP45 that makes tight little groups.... all 4" low at 25 yds. Not extremely bad, but just enough that I would like to replace the stock Novak sights with some MMC adjustables. Or at least swap out the front sight for a shorter one.

The best experience with fixed sights would be my DW CBOB .45. Sights are dead on at 30 yds.

My "worst one" which wasn't bad, was a Walther P99 that had to be drifted to correct shooting consistent groups 5" to the left.

My best ones have been from Beretta. Four 92FS models, a 8045 Cougar, and now a PX-4 in 9mm have all been dead on from the factory.

Best:
Browning Hi-Power

Worst:
Kahr PM9

My original CZ sights were very close too. I put the CZ competition rear and fiber-optic front sights on for faster target acquisitionUSPSA type shooting---it worked BUT when I try to reach out and touch bullseyes I shoot 2-3" high. The fiber optic front becomes a distraction because it's not at the top of the front sight. I don't do much very accurate shooting at longer ranges, so I really don't have it figured out yet.

My 9mm Sig was good-to-go.

Oh jeez, my CZ 52 shot about 1' below POA at 20 yards. When they say "aim high", they mean it! Couldn't stand the piece of junk, sold it soon after.

My Sig 220's sights are 8-8, so I have to put the front dot on the target, not a 6 o'clock hold like other guns.

I won't even start on my Mosin. Holy cow.

I installed Heinie fixed sights on my 17L. (Because Glock factory sights are too crappy to keep) I had to remove .022" from the rear sight to get POI down to POA.

Sigs always shoot low for me. My P226 needed a #9 front and a #9 rear to get POI up to POA.

H&K, always low, and a pain in the arse to find a substitute.
