Hey gang,
Does anybody know if USPSA membership meet Florida's proof of training requirement for CCW?

Thanks
Matt

I am aware that the gunshow class and the DD214 qualify.
Just wondering if USPSA counted.

I did mine last thursday. Certificate says NRA Home defense training. just under 3 hours. I learned quite a bit too! Worth it in my opinion.

Ok let me clarify, I have my Florida CCW. I know that NRA/Hunters Safety classes, but on the renewal stuff I got in the mail, I noticed that the pamphlet stated something like "membership in a shooting club"
as one of the satisfiers of training.
Unfortunately, I pitched all that stuff once I mailed the renewal.
Curiosity got the best of me.

I do have to say, I learned more about gun safety and handling at a USPSA match 15 minute brief than I did in my 3hour ccw "safety" class.

I checked my application documents (I'm a pack rat what can I say), it says "...proof of participation in organized competitive shooting," so I imagine a classification from the USPSA may count, don't know the best way would be to phone them up.

But since you already have a CCW it may be beyond your curiosity.
