Florida Shoot?

M1, M1903A3, FN Mauser, and maybe a SKS. My shooting buddy and long suffering wife will be using a K22 Masterpiece, MOD60-3, and possibly a 10-22. I shoot handguns most every other week at the St. Petersburg Police Pistol Club so I'll be leaving them behind for this shoot.
Where did k-man. czhen, ironman, freedspeak, Jeff Timm, slydel0kt, and gwar run off to?
The range opens at 9AM my wife and I will be there not too long after that. This will be a good way to spend a Friday away from work. SeeYa.

Sorry, folks, I got busy making holsters. The Manatee club works for me. I can bring the CZ P01 and 75PCR, Springfield 1911-A1, Kimber Pro CDP II, Cobra Derringer, Taurus PT-145, Kahr P9 Covert, and I'm sure I'll have a couple of others by then. :D

Manatee Gun and Archery on RT 64. Almost to the very east end of the county is where I like to shoot. I'm in Pinellas Co. by the way.

Yeah but their range rules change depending on the wind, and which way the RO's hat is leaning. An RO there with a first name that begins with M is the WORST offender, and the reason I turned in my membership card. Whats OK one week is NOT the next....with the same RO. And he seems to like to yell a lot. Get this the last time I was there, I had to place my 100 yard target in the frame so high that I had to pull it up out of the ground and lay it down to service it. This is supposed to keep my rounds (7.62mm) from impacting short and bouncing over the berm. (And maybe hitting someone on the pistol range??) Sorry excuse for a range. My vote would be for the Hernando Sportsmans Club. Its up 19 between NPR and Crystal River. Very nice place....I used to be an RO there. Now before anyone jumps on me, I KNOW that the Range Officer is not to be augued with, and that his word is law. But this guy was still a male organ, and the range is laid out bad.

I've never run into that RO, but I'm sure they can get wound up. I don't see how, using the 500 or the back 200 yard range that one could put a round on any of the pistol areas. The 25 yard game bays, for the lack of a better term, all face the 500 yard range. The 200 yard is at the end of the row of bays. The 50 yard range is next to the 500.
I went to the Hernando club for the machine gun shoot last year. They have a nice place there.

Is there a consensus on a range yet?

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it work yet either... my PD is having some meetings for the Patrol Division in March. Hopefully I'll be able to attend.

I'll most likely be bringing a
Bushy M4gery with a couple toys on it.
CZ-75B
G27
G19
G22 (Only for my hands... PD property.)
Win Mdl 70 .270 BOSS
Maybe a shotty...
Maybe a new toy or two that are yet to be purchased.

Sorry I missed it, had to sign papers with a lawyer today (real estate deal),later had to check on a swarm of bees. Hopefully was good lets try another soon. let me know when.

P5 Guy said, "March 25th at Manatee Gun and Archery. That's where I'll be shooting."

That gives us a place and a date. How about a time?

Who finds out Thursday when he's having an operation. (I know, wait until you hit age 55.)

(sorry EMT school is real busy)I vote for the Hernando sportsmanship club.....mmmm cough cough, if per say you were looking at the Hernando Sortsmanship sign and did a 180 the road behind you on 19 called Thrasher rd, goes way way back off of 19 to some nice areas to shoot. You can bring anything you want to shoot. There are some cars out there already, just bring a trash bag to collect your stuff. BTW the local PD doesnt care if you shoot back there as people have done so for over 10 years. O BTW its free and you dont have to worry about RO's.

PS- dont tell anyone else about that secret spot, lol.

I'm down here in the swamps. I have looked into the Manatee range info. The only reason I won't shoot there is that you HAVE to belong to the NRA. Sorry my money goes to the GOA, they are a lot more active in the gun rights area.

If the sight changes, I'll be there...

The range opens at 9AM.
Me and my wife tend to shoot until she gets bored. I'm shooting (pun alert) for 10 til 2. The range is open 'til 4. Come early stay late, if you're like me the fun stops too soon.

P5 Guy Invited: "The range opens at 9AM."

I second the motion and will be there (the operation comes later and the wife is going to a convention in Maine that week.)

Dear Florideans
I am still here and I wish to go, but I have no job since two week so I'm trying to star my own meat & poultry distribution Co. Please, keep all in touch for the next meeting I will be there with family (wifey, daughter & son.)
Have fun for me.

I can handle Friday. It's not a Federal Holiday, but I have "Use-or-lose" leave.

Who will be there, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, my customers don't go off the deep end, HQ doesn't push a busted upgrade and the miriad of other things that drive service types nutz. Pardon me, I'll go order up a case of ammo.

I'm not going to be able to make it - I've been shifted to weekend days for the rest of March and part of April.

Have fun everyone!
