I placed an order with Fobus holsters on Jan 16, this year. Got an email thanking me for the order and stating it may ship "one to two weeks" after placing order. Money deducted from account Jan 22. I have replied to that email, contacted then via their web site and sent two emails asking about status. No replies at all. So, be warned. Fobus is at best poorly managed, or at worse, out of business or a scam...

Glad to hear Fobus is legit. I saw a video where shooter was using a Fobus paddle holster and liked what I saw. If it comes before the 4th of July, I'll leave a review....

Perhaps I was wrong? I finally got an email from them stating they were having trouble with supplies/materials and as a "we are sorry for the delay" gift they gave me a $6.00 discount. But still no word on how long before it ships. I guess it ain't a big deal as my 905 fits quite well in my right rear jeans pocket

Fobus holsters are fine for what they are. Occasional carry, convenience (the paddle holsters), portability and light weight. I don't consider them to be everyday carry worthy, but they're very lightweight, the paddle seats well inside the pants (that clingy surface on the inside of the paddle is remarkably effective), offer reasonable retention and seem to last for a while, surprisingly given the price point. I once broke a Safariland holster for my (then issued) Glock 23 during a training class, finished the very active (lots of different shooting positions and physical stuff) class with a Fobus I kept in my range bag for a back-up and was pleased with how well it functioned.

Another plus is that Fobus seems to make some holsters that a lot of the other mainstream makers don't offer OTS products for.

I have a Fobus paddle holster for a Hungarian 380 copy of a Walther. I hasn’t seen much use over the years.
I much prefer RM Holsters. I have several of their holsters for several different guns, and have been using them for almost 9 years now. Here’s just a few of them.

Contact them and tell them that GunnyUSMC (Lee) said to contact them. The owner, Kee, might give you a discount.
Kee is making me a holster right now for my Charter Arms Pathfinder 22lr revolver.

A Fobus paddle holster was the one I went with when I got my first 1911.Good holster for the money,$28 at a local gun shop.Only drawback to it was what's already been mentioned, they are hard on the finish. My 1911 is forever scarred on the slide from carrying it for a year or so before I upgraded.Hopefully yours will make it soon. They used to be plentiful here in rural WV,but I don't see them very much any more.

I have one that has been holding up just fine for what I use it for- something to keep my sidearm in (old gen 2 Glock 23, that I don't even really use for anything else) when I am hunting. My hunting generally involves a 10 minute walk to the stand down a trail, sitting for a while, maybe a short tracking job through the brush, and walking back down the same trail- possibly to get my 4 wheeler to haul a deer back with. So, not some multi-day adventure in extreme weather and terrain in Alaska or Wyoming or something of that nature.
