Just an FYI 17 round macro mags in stock on Sig website. Get them while in stock. I got mine ordered.

Hope someone does the same when xten mags come in stock.

I looked at the 365 X Macro at the Mesquite, Texas gun show today. Man, it feels so good in the hand. I was also looking at the Glock 19X and the 45. The Sig Macro feels so much better in my hand. I am going to have to get one.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a "Macro". I had the XL version but it found a new home just this morning. I don't intend to replace with any of the small guns either. I am done with the mini-guns.

Apparently you can install the Macro grip module on any P365 series FCU and use it with any slide and use the 17 round magazines. The XL grip module is about the largest that I can comfortably carry concealed. But the Macro grip module with 17 round magazines could easily be openly carried.

I do like on the macro that I can install an optic without losing my rear sight.
I am considering putting the macro slide on my XL. And carrying macro mags as spares.

The comp is more of a gimmick. But I bought it for the capacity. I'd prefer to have the additional inch of barrel in the XL for penetration/expansion purposes.

Looking now for a XL sized slide for the macro, with full length barrel where I can keep my rear sight with optic installed.

Those were also my thoughts. With the multiple layers of clothing that people wear here in MinneSnowta, a little extra bullet velocity through the longer XL barrel is more attractive than reducing a bit of muzzle flip, which I don't have any issue with as it is.

I was considering buying an XL slide for my P365, but when I looked at the total cost of the slide and additional parts required, it wasn't much less than buying a new P365XL when you factor in the value of the magazines that come with a new P365XL. Plus I want a backup pistol ready to go just in case I have any malfunctions. So my plan is to buy a P365XL in the spring and use that for normal concealed carry. Then put the original P365 grip module back on my P365 and use that when I have a need to pocket carry.

But it now looks like I'll also need to buy a Macro grip module and a 17 round magazine and try it out. That sounds good for open carry. I can swap grip modules in less time that it takes to change my socks.

Unless you have a manual safety, which the Macro is not offered with.

It only requires a few minutes to cut notches into the Macro grip module to allow a manual safety lever to fit. You can install the manual safety lever into a P365 FCU with no additional tools other than your fingernail to allow the detent to go into place. Or you can also use a thin metal shim, or perhaps a thin screwdriver to move the detent out of the way to allow installation of the manual trigger safety lever.

MGW sells the manual safety lever for $30.50, the manual detent for $9.44, and the detent spring for $6.50, for a total of $46.44.

At present I cut off the right side lever of the manual trigger safety to better fit into my pocket holster. That leaves me with a gap in the grip module on the right side. At some point I will buy a new P365XL grip module and/or a P365 Macro grip module without the cutouts for a manual safety lever and then cut a slot for the left side manual safety lever only to make it look pretty.

I believe there is a jig available for cutting the modules as well. My 365s are safety-less, but to each their own. I already sold my Macro. My MR920 is just easy to conceal.

Just makes me cringe laying that much for a magazine! Awaiting for SOMEONE to make an XL size grip with backstraps. I like my XL, I have several nice holsters for it, and I have other pistols I shoot better that hold as many or more rounds than the Macro. Figured if Taurus can do it for their GX4, then everyone else can too. Lefty

I had a new Macro in my hands Saturday at the LGS,and it felt really good. One of the guys that works there is a good friend, and we took time for a long hard look at it,and it's for sure going to be an easier to shoot pistol than the regular P365,even the XL.The grip is also an almost perfect match to the P322,which would make the rimfire a good training/practice option.I have a pair of P365's,one for me and the other for my wife and they are for sure as small as I want to go for a carry gun, even though I can shoot them almost as well as I shoot my larger pistols if I bear down and try hard.I might explore the option of putting a Macro grip on one but I'd think a little stubby barrel with the Macro grip module would be a funky looking gun. Also, the second P365 I bought a couple of weeks ago(after she laid claim to the first one)came with 7 magazines, which add up to a total of ten for us.But a pistol as small as the Macro that holds 17 rounds is very appealing. That's what the P320 holds, but the 320 is a little on the difficult side to conceal, even the compact version is hard to hide except under a jacket or a heavy coat.If I hadn't just bought my second P365 I probably would have left the store with a Macro.

Also I think the compensator isn't worth giving up half an inch of barrel.Maybe they'll make it with a full length barrel somewhere down the road.

.5" really doesn't make much of a difference in velocity.

Nabbed a 17 round mag at the local Scheels today, $50. I like my 365X way, way better than the Macro (the grip module is too Glocky for me) but with the included spacer it's the best of both worlds.

I already know that the Macro X grip module is too large for my concealed cary methods. But either the Macro X or the P365X with the 17 round magazine should work well for open carry. I'll probably start by buying a 17 round magazine and at some point try the Macro x grip module.

I already have a bias against Glocks because I don't like the dorky way that the magazine protruding out of the bottom of the grip module looks.

But what do you mean by too Glocky?

There are grip modules available. I put the Wilson on mine. Made enough diffierence to make it worth the cash...

Not like the Macro or the GX4 with removable backstraps. I have bought every WC grip module for the p365 and I have YET to see one with removable back-straps like the Macro. I don’t want a cool looking grip module. I want one I can swap out backstraps for a better fit to my hands.
