Our local Cowboy Action Shooting club, the Southern Missouri Rangers, holds a midweek shoot once a month, the Old Coot's Shoot. We had a great turnout on Wednesday, March 16.
I have been trying to learn how to use a hat camera, and got enough footage to make a movie. Noz and I are shooting black powder loads in all our guns, a requirement for Frontiersman category...even though there are cowboys shooting smokeless loads in there, I hope our smoke will be sufficient to allow me to post this link in our Blackpowder forum.
I am using 5.5 inch Ruger Old Armies charged with 20 grains of Schuetzen 2FG under a round ball, 20 grains of Pyrodex 2FG in .38 Special cases in the Uberti 1873 rifle, and 2.5 cc of Goex 2FG in the 12 gauge Browning BSS. Why three different powders? Just using up what I have on hand!!
Proof that it is possible to burn up a lot of black powder in a short time!!
