I've used "shot timer" on my DroidX for a while. It has worked great, except for dry fire. I would actually consider getting the paid version.

I use the IPSC Shot Timer for my Android and it works decent including dry fire.

I've tried the SureFire ShotTimer app for the Iphone. Using my snub nose .38 special, firing five shots, the app would recognize at most two shots. That was a month or two ago, maybe they updated it, if not at least it was free.

Do keep in mind that these are apps and not real dedicated timers. You'll get 90-98+ percent functionality but not 100 percent.

Thought it would be handy for those curious about shot timing or wanted something more to do with their smart phones.
