Friday Feb 20th at On Target in MD...

We are 95% sure we are coming up next weekend and are completely free Friday night.

Anyone up for going to On Target? I know that several of you mentioned being members there and the fact that it helps with the final bill a whole lot in MD. A shoot and a dinner or a shoot and a couple of beers afterwards?

If anyone is interested, just let us know if there is anything in particular you want us to bring.

How late are they open on Friday and what would be a good time to meet? Are only handgun calibers allowed? What about 12 gauge?

Looks like I might be able to make it. I'm a member,and if I'm not delayed by the job,I'll be there.
On Target only allows handgun Calibers, no 12 gauge, If you have a longgun that shoots pistol ammo,thats allowed also.
Give us a time,and I hope to see you there.
 
I'll try and make it. Drifted the sites on my Commander and CZ97 and need to check POI. You're the out-of-town guests, whatever works for you.

I just realized that I have a dentist appointment on Friday. Should be done by 5 though. It would probably be better for those who work to meet later in the evening anyway. What time works for you?
 
On Target???? as for me.......anytime. I'll bring two 1911's. (1) Colt Commander (2) Colt Gold Cup. See ya there.:cool:
 
We get into town Thursday evening. I will post to this thread with a set time then.

Figure on around 7:00-7:30 so people have time to get off from work and such.

New plan guys. We will be in MD until Monday so if you guys can do Sunday afternoon that would be even better for us.

What are the legal implications of what you plan?

You are going to go target shooting then stop off for food and drink? Not sure Maryland law is not being violated there. Maryland is pretty strict about the transportation of firearms. Going to and from the range is okay, but I am not sure about making extensive detours as well.
 
I realize MD has screwy laws. Actually I had just planned on shooting. If people would like to get together afterwards we could just meet later to let people go take their guns home or what not.

You know even though I am a MD native it is so weird to go from being able to carry a loaded weapon to you can only have an unloaded gun on the second Thursday of the summer solstice but only if there is a full moon. :mad:
 
If it's Sunday....we're probably out. Birthday party and a concert makes for a long day as it is. If everyone else isn't going I may be still there Friday since I sort of had my heart set on it.
 
We actually wanted to move to Sunday because we thought it would easier for people to make it. But if that is not the case we will now SET IN STONE that Friday will be the range day. Say around 7:00 PM.

ANApex and I will either be there together or one of us will come. We couldn't get a babysitter so we may be switching off watching the boys and shooting. Either way, you'll see at least one of us there. :)
 
Wife and I will be there....hopefully with a firend who's bringing his new Springfield 1911 out to play:D
 
Bumping this up in case someone hasn't seen this yet that might want to join us this evening. Looks like Dave (ANApex) is going to stay home with the boys and I am going to come. We'll trade off next time. See ya there!
 
Hey gang,
I'm gonna have to miss it. I have a few honeydo things I have to do. I could put them off till next week,cause I'm working the gunshow this weekend,but I'm gonna go ahead and knock them out.
Sorry I will not be with you guys this evening. I missed the last THR MD shoot also. Well, hopefully I'll make the next one.:(
 
wife and kid are at my folks for the evening, so I'll be there. OD slacks and black long sleeve shirt.
 
Ok one question? On Target is in Severn, correct?

I will have a blue sweater with a horizontal stripe and blue jeans. I have short hair, a gotee, glasses and could lose a few pounds....ok more than a few. :uhoh:

Yes, On Target is in Severn. Members can reserve lanes half an hour in advance so I'll call before I leave and see if they can save some together for us. And someone is welcome to share my lane for the guest discount.
 
Just wanted to say thanks and let everybody know that we had a great time. We just wish we would have had more time to talk with everybody.

Anytime anybody makes it down our way please make sure to let us know so we can get together.

Unfortunitely we forgot our camera so no pics but rest assured we had a blast. It was wonderful meeting everybody.

Solomonshort had my favorite gun of the night with his Colt LW Commander. Very nice shooting gun.

Well that is all I have time to post for now as we are off to hook up with our non gunny friends.
