Time to make it go byebye....I've tried for 5yrs and its no fun...case feeder, 22 and 30cal bullet feeders all plates...shell plates bullet feeders control panel and all misc stuff...maybe im venting but im over the lnl phase in my lifetime

Give it to someone who is willing to work out the kinks or deal with Hornady until they do, or just throw it in the trash, and buy something else.

The LNL AP isn't for everyone. I've found that it appeals more to the reloading hobbyist than to the person who just reloads to shoot more.

It really appeals to the hobbyist who likes to tinker, tweak, and optimize their press/process.

I got my LNL AP for free from someone who didn't like playing with it...granted, I've spent hundreds on it since

Hello OP, my nickname is Trash, please throw it my way if you're so inclined.

Now, seriously, if you are going to sell it, let us here know.
I own two, three of my buddies have one as well. And, there's probably another buddy, who wouldn't mind upgrading to it.

In all honesty, I really haven't needed to tinker with them much at all. Yes, there is some tweaking/adjusting of the indexing pawls, and a little on the primer feed, but that's normal. I bought my first one used, had to replace a couple of parts, but no real tinkering involved. The second one was new, and again some adjustments, but no real tinkering.

Are they perfect, no, but they are pretty good presses.

I bought an LnL a couple of months ago and so far I'm not impressed. Packed it up Monday and sent it back to Hornady with an RMA.

My Loadmaster is a better press. I'll wait while some of you put your socks back on. Plan to give it a review after I get it up and running.

Only my case feeder has been troublesome. I load at least 6K 9mm/month
Just curious what issues you are having with the case feeder?

There are a couple of points that are easy to adjust improperly, a few of areas that can be greatly improved with a little polishing, and an area that may be out of alignment.

Mine runs great loading 9mm and .38Spl...besides some cases trying to race each other out of the basket...but I did tweak it a bit

I don't prime on mine, and don't use a case or bullet feeder, but it runs like a Swiss watch otherwise.

Please throw it my way, I will even boot in for shipping. I can't understand the complaint of having to setup and adjust, but then again, the press I had before my LNL was the Lee Pro 1000. Now that one you have to tinker, and push, and set, and reset, but I still use it for 9mm, just because I don't want it just sitting there.

Sorry to hear, I'm with walkalong, and I just got mine in July. Had to make couple of tweaks but no major issues so far. Dont have bullet feeder, case feeder etc either. I don't prime on mine,(tried, to many steps going on at once).
Hopefully you can find it a good home.

I have 2, both with case feeders and I do prime on the press. I crank out thousands of rounds and other than breaking the occasional primer rod plastic top piece, it just runs. Hornady sent me several spares to keep on hand, no charge. What kind of problems are you having? (added) I guess a photo would help.

The photo above are two ammo plants that the previous owners thought were paper weights. The one on the right I had up and making bullets 1/2 hour after I had it mounted on my bench. The other one took me two days because it had been under water for eleven day three years ago during our flood. It took me that long to get the primer punch out of the sub plate.
Now if you want to time your press like mine go to "WHAT CLEVER LITTLE THINGS HAVE YOU "INVENTED OR DISCOVERED" THAT YOU CAN SHARE?" POST #1334. I have only timed mine once, and they are both perfect.
But if you think you have a "paper weight" I pay $150.00 for each press and $100.00 for each case feeder and bullet feeder.

^^^Drainsmith I would make the same offer and carry through with it. But for some reason I don't think it will come down to that.

Well, they are easier to get working with all the gizmos than a Loadmaster is but not as easy or consistent than one of the Dillon's.

You might just go back to the base machine without all the feeders and go from there.

Unlike the 650, how well the case feed on an LNL works is entirely dependent on the installer.

Before you trash that press, take a deep breath, and post what problems you are having with yours and we can try to help.

I've had my LnL for a few years now with the case feeder and it works flawlessly. It did take some tweaking, but far less than my former RCBS Press.

FYI...I don't prime on the press.

My case feeder is my left hand and it has worked great so far. Maybe I have been fortunate but I think mine is just fantastic. The primer feed is SO much better than the Lee I had been using for the previous 25 years--I haven't had a single upside-down or crushed sideways primer yet in several thousand rounds, and that's with just small primers. The Lee would invariably flip at least one per hundred unless I stopped mid-stroke and jiggled the primer feed, which slowed down the process quite a bit.

I consider my LnL one of the better reloading investments I have made. I'm sorry your experience has been different, but I know how you feel: everybody raves about the Lee Auto Drum powder measure but I can't get mine to work no matter how much I fiddle with it.

I took my LNL out of the box, bolted it to the bench, removed everything that had to do with the priming system, and haven't had a lick of trouble. I love the thing.

In my experience, trying to prime on the press accounts for about three quarters of all problems with progressives. Take that out of the equation and you're good to go.

I've lurked the High Road for a long time before I recently started posting, and during that time I've learned that the guys here are *extremely* helpful.

Don't give up on your LnL yet!

Post some specifics on the problems you're having (and maybe a picture or two) and I'd be willing to bet the guys here will have you and your press on speaking terms in no time.

I've also heard very good things about the Hornady phone support people, too. I'm not too sure about the LnL side of the house, but there's a lady on the shotshell loader side of things that is well known for straightening out any problems you could possibly have with Hornady's shotshell loaders. I believe Hornady offers a press refurbishing service at no to minimal cost, and they'll return your press setup just right.

Between the High Road, and Hornady tech support I think you stand a pretty good chance of getting your problems solved.
