G29 for Carry duty?

As part of my 5 gun CCW collection rotation i have one last Main gun spot to fill.As of now my other 2 mains are .45's,and id really like a .40 to shoot at the range since its as cheap as 9mm here and alot easier to find.
I say that meaning i will be buying a LW .40 conversion barrel and carry the 10mm.
My first gun i bought after being away from guns for 20 years recently was a G20c and i loved that gun.I even had a .40 barrel also.But i needed carry guns and traded it in on a compact.
I LOVE SHOOTING 10MM FULL POWER LOADS,really i do its a blast
And i could also plink with the .40's

Now the questions.
I think the G29 is the same size as all their compacts,but how well do they conceal being so wide?
Does the 29 handle the recoil as well as my 20C did? Well as close as it did as it was compensated which helped.
Should i get a Comped 29? My 1911 does HD duty so flash isn't much an issue.

My real intention was to just flat out buy a .40 cal gun for ccw and cheap range gun,feels odd saying that about .40 but its cheaper and easier to find than 9mm locally.
But i figure why be stuck with a .40 when i can have that and a 10mm also.
BTW i even prefer 10mm over .45 just by a tad tho

So comments? Hows yours carry? G29 have issues?

get a comped G29 and a conversion kit.

or you can get a .40 and get a 22lr conversion for it.

Thats the thing i don't want a Glock in .40 for carry,i can think of many other guns id rather have.BUT a Glock in 10mm for carry is as about as good as it gets performance wise,with the great ability to shoot cheap .40 at the range.

Seems the Advantage Arms conversion is hard to find,but GunBroker should have some.
I already have a S&W .22a for plinking,but i wouldn't mind having another.
The thing is id rather have a whole new gun rather than a conversion,as i could have done that with my 1911.

How you like concealing the G29 compared to other compacts and mid sized guns?

I carry my G29 in a Comp-TAC CTAC, IWB holster. I use thin holsters with thick guns. Conceals just fine.

I personally would not have a compensated barrel in a carry gun. And the recoil, even with Double Tap ammo, is unremarkable (despite Internet hyperbole).
