G30SF vs XD45C for HD

Of the two, I'd buy an XD45C. This is especially true if you intend on carrying. I think that this gun is one of the most flexible autoloaders. Full size to compact with a change of magazines. Pretty cool. More gun companies should do this. In general, XDs have excellent track records.

I would without hesitation recommend the XD in .45 ACP. Someone was talking about this gun being a disaster -- I would wager that the gun he had was a lemon or he was just plain a bad shot. I have the XD in 9mm also; both guns are as accurate as can be out to 50 yards. Both XD's are reliable as can be also; I've fired thousands of rounds through them and never had a feed problem or jam. In my opinion get the XD - you won't regret it.
