GCO filed a federal lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia against the Sheriff of Richmond County and a Richmond County deputy who detained a GCO member and seized his legally-carried pistol.

Mike J I had been meaning to join GeorgiaCarry.Org for a while but never got around to it. Finally did at the gun show this past weekend. Seeing this makes me glad I did. This is one organization the stands up for our rights.

In other news, at the first hint of lawyers, the Richmond County Sheriff's Department miraculously located Mr. Mead's firearm within a few hours (oops, guess it really was not at the GBI after all, as they had claimed) and returned it to him. The lawsuit is moving forward.
