Here is one that goes in the 'win' column, but Sara Brady et al will claim it as anti-gun propoganda as well. This is what they mean when they tell you "your gun is more likely to be used against a loved one etc....".

No criminal charges will be filed against a Whitehall woman who fatally shot her boyfriend last March through the closed bedroom door of their duplex.
Rick Robert Butler, 44, of 314 S. Hall, was shot just before 6 a.m. on March 2.
His girlfriend, Wanda Baessler, afterward went directly to the Whitehall Police Department, saying to an officer: "Please help me! I just shot my boyfriend!"
She wasn't wearing shoes, despite the cold and snow on the ground, police reported.
At the time, she told police she was afraid of Butler and had barricaded the door against him. She said she couldn't call police because he'd cut the telephone lines.
The decision not to charge Baessler was announced Friday afternoon by the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office. The investigation was lengthy and detailed, as was the review of all of the circumstances, police and prosecutors said.
It was a decision Whitehall Police Chief Donald Hulbert said he supported.
"It's one of those things that I'm sure people who aren't privileged to all of the details of the case look at and feel something should have been done," Hulbert said. "But having all the facts and background information, I feel the prosecutor's office came up with the appropriate decision."
That decision was based on a number of factors, including Butler's past history of violence against his ex-wife and a domestic violence charge that was pending against him, with Baessler the victim, Hulbert said...
...Tague described Butler as being "volatile" the night of his death. He also said Butler had a history of substance abuse. The toxicology report from Butler's autopsy showed he had methadone, methadone metabolite and sertraline (brand name Zoloft, an anti-depressant) in his system when he died.
"A search of the residence found over 55 prescription bottles in Butler's name containing controlled substances prescribed by multiple doctors," Tague said...
...When Baessler did arrive home, Butler assaulted her and cut the phone lines. He then left. She took a shotgun and one shell into the bedroom after barricading both the front and bedroom doors, according to the material presented in the prosecutor's opinion.
Butler returned to the residence, kicked in the front door and Baessler "fearing a further assault ... fired one warning shot through the closed bedroom door," Tague said...
