Always wanted a Browning High Power. Now Springfield, Girsan and FN have reintroduced them. From all the reports I decided for the $ the Girsan was the best value. I'll pull the mag disconnect when I get it in a week or two.ordered the black with wood grips. Online prices were all over the place, couldn't find one local. Ended up ordering from g4gguns. Ordered my SPX from them several years ago and had a good experience.

I've always wanted a HP too.

My Marine buddy bought one and took it with him when he was deployed back in Desert Storm.

We shot the hell out of it for a month or two before he left.

Couldn't get it back home so he threw it in a garbage bin on the airbase before shipping back 😔

If I were to see one while "shopping" I'd definitely choose the Girsan.

In for pics when yours comes in!

A fellow I get to shoot with sometimes has the Girsan. I got to shoot it. It is a nice pistol. He likes it & uses it for carry. He also has a Belgian Hi Power.

Girsan offers several variants including competition and short carry pistols that are impressive.

When I was HP shopping, there was a shorty Girsan next to the SA I was looking at... it was tempting, but I wanted a full-sized pistol, and no magazine safety. Everyone I've talked to says the Girsans are very nice, regardless of the price.

You guys are trying to kill me.
So went to mother in laws to snow blow, only a mile. White out conditions.
Snow blowed, storm let up, why not it's only 13 miles. 1/2 way there I was second guessing life choices. North /South roads were drifting and winds off the fields made drive by feel.
Good news is I survived and now have it.
Reports after lunch.

Glad you made it home safely.

I have to say, i would've driven in a snowstorm to pick it up too (although, I drove a salt/plow truck for almost 15 years for a living so it might not be quite the same ;))

Nice looking pistola, looking forward to a range report once the weather gets better

Now THAT is dedication! Glad you made it there and back.

Let us know how it cleans up, and how it shoots when you get a chance to play. :D

Stay safe.

My buddy's Girsan has the rivet in the trigger for the magazine safety....but not the magazine safety itself. It might have the firing pin safety; I can't remember.
My Springer has neither magazine nor firing pin safeties, and a better trigger than my buddy's gun.
