Glenfield 30A to Marlin 336

I have a Glenfield Model 30A that I acquired via trade many years ago. I like it very much and have shot deer with it over the years, but the cheesy wood really gets to me. From what I have seen taking the gun apart several times there is really no difference between it and and the 336, except the forearm piece.

Will the longer 336 Forearm fit the 30A and then just need the forearm band and screw?

I'd contact Marlin and ask them. Since they made both rifles, they should be able to tell you what would fit.
