Hello, I went to a local gun store excited to check out some suppressors for my first NFA purchase. I think I have decided on the liberty mystic x. Good news for me one of my local shops has it in stock. I asked the clerk if he had a recommendation for a threaded barrel for a gen 4 glock 19. The clerk replied that there are none out there for the gen 4 that work reliably. Now I stopped believing things gun store clerks told me along time ago ,but this seems particularly suspect to me.

Are there any members here who shoot their gen 4 glocks suppressed? What barrel are you using and how reliable has it been?

Thanks

I shoot my gen 4 19 all the time with a suppressor. I have a storm lake barrel on it and do not have any issues. It shot all full power ammo with no hiccups. Hand loaded 147 subs worked fine too once I found a load it liked. I am not sure how factory stuff would run though as I never used any.

Worse come to worse you could always go with a lighter recoil spring for suppressed shooting if necessary.

That liberty X is an awesome suppressor. You will like it a lot. The only rub may be that some people find it a bit heavy. For me its versatility makes up for that many times over.

Thanks Red I'm pretty excited to get the mystic. I agree on the versatility point and that's ultimately why I chose that can. I do have a couple questions. Is your barrel specific to gen 4 models? Do you use the stock recoil spring?

Thanks in advance

I bought my barrel as a g19 barrel from glockmeister I think it was. I do not remember seeing anything about generation of gun on the site or packaging. I believe they are only model specific.

Recoil spring is does vary from generation to generation though for sure. My G19 has the stock spring setup in it, but I did tweak around with subsonic handholds for a bit to get it how I wanted it to act. I went with a slightly heavier spring in my 10mm since I shoot it pretty hot; it works much better unless I drop down to light loads.

I have been happy with my storm lake barrel. No issues. KKM is supposed to be top notch too, supposedly the best I think.

One thing you will have to be prepared for is POI shift. My suppressed shots group noticeably lower. Yours may be different though.

My Gen4 Glock 22 works fine with a threaded Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel and my GemTech multi-mount suppressor.

I shoot my Gen 4 G19 with a lone wolf barrel just fine. It took about 100-125 rds before it stopped causing jams but now it runs fine.
