This is my first shot at adding some color to my Glock 19. What do you all think? Any tips for making it look a little better?

Looks like you did a very neat and even application. What kind of paint did you use and what was your technique?

You can get something called a lacquer stick from Brownells. They come in several colors and can be used to fill in the stamped/engraved parts of a gun. You rub it on like a crayon and wipe away any excess that didn't get into the stamped part. It is supposed to harden permanently over time, but I have found that it comes out when exposed to cleaning products. I know that white works pretty good on some guns I've tried.

I used engine enamel... The type used to paint an engine block. I sprayed some into a jar, then dipped a toothpick to apply it to the letters. After that, I scraped the excess off with a knife then lightly rubbed the rest off with nail polish remover. This particular paint is supposed to be chemical resistant.

Does it glow? Because that would be awesome.

I wish... I did just order some glow in the dark zombie green paint... I may try my XD in that just to see what it looks like.

You can change the floorplates, too. They make them in a few different colors. I'm currently using blue for 40SW, orange for 45ACP, default black for 9mm. :)
