Beautiful Early Spring Day - CRAZY WEATHER TIME

I bought a Glock 19X from KY Gun Company, shipped, for $570. Picked it up on Thursday. Took it out today and put about 600 rounds through it. Most 124 NATO, about 100 rounds of 115 cheapo stuff and 50 rounds of Speer Lawman 147 TMJ, all suppressed with AW barrel.

Short story: Not a single glitch.

Fit and finish is excellent. I love the 17 grip and 19 slide. Feels great.I have older eyes so that white front site post is a challenge, but regardless, it hit what I amed at. The trigger is fine for a Glock trigger. I will be putting an APEX in it. And I will be installing Ameriglo suppressor Sights. Wow does it get filthy. No hiding the crud on a tan finish. My black Glocks "disguise" the stuff after shooting. Speaking of which, the color is fantastic. The slide looks close to a dark bronze rather than FDE. I shot it without swapping in different grip panels for most of the session and did fine but my XXL sized hands found the large beaver tail particularly comfortable.
Accuracy? Far more accurate than me.

I did a lot of timed drills with my steel targets and loved it. Bill drills we're a blast and I pushed myself to failure then backed off and cleaned the A zone from 7 yards several times in 5 seconds. That is great for me. I worked on draws and shooting from "surrender" position. Consitently was hitting center mass on steel from 7 yards at 1.5 seconds. Good enough for me, that's for darn sure.

I enjoyed getting back to 33 yards and banging the steel in sots every second. I always hold right since I know my limitations with the Glock trigger. I gave up fighting it a long time ago. :)

I really like the Coyote extended mags. I removed the lanyard loop and my Taran Extensions worked fine. I am going to clean it and put an Apex trigger in it and new sights. I would like a MOS option.

Excuse the typos I am on my Smartphone and too lazy to go back and fix the typos.

Here is the 19X with a Gemtech Suppressor, Alpha Wolf Barrel and Taran +6 extension, Speer Lawman 147gr 9mm and a cigar on a beautiful day at th

I'm still waiting for the local Police Supply to get them in. I just like saving money. :)
Good to hear someone that has one, shot it and liked it.

While I'm not a fan of carrying a pistol with a longer grip frame, I could see how this gun would hang well in hand. I recently picked up a 21 round factory magazine for my SIG 320 full size. I bought it for HD duty as I won't be worn on me, and the extra mass and grip on the extended magazine gives it a bit more neutral feel. It shoots like a dream.
I still find it unappealing to the eye and would hate to try and conceal it, but for the role its designed for the shorter barrel compared to longer grip make for some lovely shooting.

congrats! nice looking gun!

I didn’t want to start a whole new thread to talk about my take on it, so I hope it’s okay to throw my review here...

I wrote in a recent knife thread that I handled a 19X and passed on buying it. I bought a Spyderco instead. I didn’t think at the time it offered THAT much over my G19s and G17 for me to spend $600.

I went back when I had more time and played with it some more and had the clerk let me swap out backstraps and dry fire it a whole lot. I left it at the store.

I was perusing Armslist and saw one FS/FT. I traded for it. Equal value item, but an item I had considerably less than $600 into. So I ended up with a 19X after initially passing.

What I can say about the 19X is:

It has the best trigger of any factory Glock I’ve tried.

The bottom of the grip could really be taken up to normal 17 length, but that notwithstanding, it’s the best grip I’ve felt on a Glock with the medium strap installed.

Standard Glock night sights are at least as good as the Meprolights and Hackathorns I prefer.

Those 19 round mags are pretty cool for the range.

The coyote matte finish I’m really in love with. Looks and feels so much better than cerakote or duracoat.

350 flawless rounds from a Remington 9mm range bucket of ammo. 100 flawless 9mm Nato Winchester. 50 flawless Gold Dot +P and 50 Gold Dot standard pressure (which I switched to for carry from +P). All mags great. Old G17 mags great. Magpul 21 mags worked well.

Accuracy seems good, but so are my Gen 3s. From 5-15 yards. I was shooting two handed. One handed with each hand. Kneeling. Doing the kind of drills I normally do at a full range session. Controlled pairs. Failure drills. Strings of 5. Edit: It seems to have typical Glock combat accuracy. I didn’t measure or shoot from a rest.

All in all, I think they could’ve made it the 17X and kept the 17 length upper. But this 19X balances well and points nicely. The best parts of the gun to me are the lower ergos and the finish.

This photo makes it look very tan. In person it’s more bronze or maybe even golden as the OP said.
