I recently lucked into a like new $400 G3 Glock 20SF and while I love the gun, the measured 8lb trigger is just too darn heavy. Whats the easiest, most reliable, inexpensive way to lighten the trigger? I dont need anything too fancy, but I'd love to get it into the 3-5lb range. As it is, with the mushy heavy 8lb wall the trigger hits, its really difficult to not pull my shots to the side, even with practice.

Sounds like the Glock "New York" trigger.

I don't have an answer, but I do know there are a lot of aftermarket, and perhaps factory Glock trigger fixes. No doubt someone will way in with an option for you.

Look into the Zev starter kit. This kit comes with all the springs and trigger bar for about $30.

This kit is easy to install and drops the trigger pull to about 3.5 lbs.

I have this kit in my G20 and G21.

A quick DIY 25 cent trigger job along with a '-' connector is my suggestion.

Glocks are very easy to work on and respond well to a bit of polishing while maintaining the reliability.

You can easily identify if you have a NY trigger spring when you take it down a d can swap it out.

Many good companies making glock trigger parts . I have always bought Ghost dis-connectors and was very happy . The reason the 25 cent trigger job is always brought up is , it works . Glock trigger parts are stamped pieces. Look at all of the trigger parts with a magnifier where each piece interacts with another . You will see edges that are not square , burrs and all kinds of nastiness. I use a piece of granite and 1000 grit fine sandpaper . I am not even trying to remove much metal just square up edges and smooth surfaces. Pick the dis connector with the poundage you want ,clean up the nasty edges and polish and you will happy with your results.
